Heather and Jeremy had a little accident yesterday at home on the stairs. Heather slipped, fell backwards, and landed on her back side. Well, Jeremy's leg happened to be under her when she landed. Heather is okay other then a two small cuts on her hand but Jeremy has suffered a broken leg.After getting an x-ray at Urgent Care we were referred to a Pediatric Orthopedic doctor in Santa Barbara. They were able to see him in the afternoon and now Jeremy is the proud owner of a big blue cast. The Doctor said we should expect a full recovery. They expect to take the cast off in four weeks if the x-ray looks good at that point.The Doctor also said he shouldn't be experiencing any pain and didn't even give us a prescription for any medicine!!!
After spending the night with it, the worst part for Jeremy is the awkwardness and it is hard for him to sleep in the positions he normally sleeps in. After only a few hours he had already started crawling with it on. It will take a little time for the little guy to figure things out.
